Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Financial Controller to join our Finance team. You will own the day-to-day bookkeeping operations — managing AP/AR, recording journal entries under IFRS, performing bank reconciliations, and keeping the general ledger accurate and audit-ready. You will also support month-end closing, financial reporting, and coordination with external tax advisors and auditors. The company uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its primary ERP.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AP/AR processing
• Record journal entries under IFRS with proper classification and documentation
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain the general ledger — balanced, coded, audit-ready
• Process vendor invoices, expense claims, and client billing
• Reconcile intercompany and multi-currency transactions
• Monitor cash positions and assist with cash flow tracking
• Support month-end and year-end closing
• Coordinate with external tax advisor and statutory auditors
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax regulations and IFRS
• Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for research and process documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related
• 1–2 years accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Solid knowledge of IFRS — required
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Proficiency in AP/AR, journal entries, bank reconciliations, GL maintenance
• Familiarity with Egyptian tax regulations and statutory requirements
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial formulas)
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience — a strong plus
• Other ERP (SAP, QuickBooks, Xero) — a plus
• CMA, ACCA, or CPA (in progress or completed) — a plus
• AI tools experience — preferred
